On a warm sunny Saturday in August, I had the privilege of capturing Charlotte and Lester’s beautiful wedding at Bridgewood Manor Hotel & Spa in Chatham, Kent.

After arriving at the venue several hours before the ceremony, I made my way up to the room where Charlotte and her bridal party were getting ready and got to work on capturing all the details.
Charlotte’s children were also in the room, which provided me with the opportunity to create some gorgeous photos of them with their mum.

Ahead of the ceremony, Charlotte’s dad got the first look as his daughter made her way downstairs. You could tell what a proud moment this was for him. Touching moments like these are what make weddings such special occasions.

Meanwhile, Lester was waiting in Hythe Suite I, where the ceremony was taking place, supported by his best men James and Dan.
I want to give a deserved shout-out to Lester’s best man and Charlotte’s bridesmaids for their invaluable assistance throughout the day. You were all super helpful. Thanks, guys!
It was then onto the ceremony, followed by a confetti run and the group shots.
Fortunately, the room where bridal prep took place had a fantastic view overlooking the courtyard at Bridgewood Manor Hotel.
Dan and James rallied everyone together while I set up. Working with a compact mirrorless camera like Fujifilm’s X-T3 meant I had no problem setting up though the gap of a window.
Sometimes you need to think outside the box as a photographer!

Following the group shots, I had 20 minutes with Lester and Charlotte and we worked together to create a selection of beautiful portraits of the pair of them.

It was then time for the wedding breakfast and the speeches, which were heartfelt and humorous in equal measure.

Finally, the evening guests arrived in time to see Charlotte and Lester cutting the cake and having their first dance as newly-weds.
